How much is a taxi from St Andrews to Edinburgh Airport?
The fixed one-way fare is £120, roughly 50 miles and about 1 hour 15 minutes. The price includes all standard charges — there is no extra for waiting time or luggage. Return journeys are quoted on request and are usually cheaper than two singles.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing extra. We track your flight in real time and time the pickup to your actual landing, so the driver is not sitting at the terminal early. Waiting time is part of your fixed fare. If you would like a meet-and-greet in arrivals with a name board, tell us when booking at no extra cost.
Are your drivers licensed and checked?
Yes. Every driver holds a current Fife Council private hire licence and an enhanced DBS certificate, and every vehicle carries full passenger and public liability insurance. We will happily show you the licence details when you book.
How do I book, and how far ahead should I?
Call +44 7879 927307, email citycoastcabs@outlook.com, or use the booking form. We hold quotes open for a few hours, so booking a few days ahead is comfortable — but we also take same-day and urgent bookings whenever there is a car free.
Can I pay by card?
Cash, bank transfer and all major cards are accepted. Card payment can be taken in the car for most bookings. Corporate customers can be set up on a monthly invoice with a named account manager instead.
Do you provide a meet-and-greet service?
Yes, and it is free on airport transfers. Your driver will wait in arrivals holding a board with your name, help with your bags and walk you to the car. Mention it in your booking and we will arrange it.
How many passengers and bags can I take?
A saloon takes up to three passengers and a few cases. The Executive is similar with a quieter cabin. The eight-seat minibus fits a full group plus golf clubs, pushchairs or a large luggage load. If you are unsure, tell us the passenger and bag count when you book and we will send the right car.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in St Andrews and cover all of Fife, the city of Dundee, and Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth airports. We also take long-distance journeys anywhere in Scotland and across the UK. If a journey is unusual, call us and we will see what we can do.
